How non-surgical lip enhancement can give the lips you desire?

Our society is rapidly evolving and as a result, it has set new beauty standards that place more and more emphasis on the individual’s external appearance. This has resulted in the emergence of new aesthetic procedure that pops up every other day.

From the surgical to non-surgical aesthetic procedures, it can be said without argument that there is an aesthetic solution for every aesthetic woe. This has attracted masses of people towards self-enhancement by undergoing various beauty procedures in order to improve their self-confidence or simply to satisfy their curiosity.

One such aesthetic procedure that has gained immense popularity in the recent years if lip fillers enhancement. It involves the injections of filler substance into the lips to enhance the definition and volume of lips.

There are two primary products that are injected into the lips to achieve temporary non-surgical lip enhancement. These include the collagen fillers and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers.

Hyaluronic acid naturally exists in our bodies and is biodegradable when injected into the lips. Nowadays, hyaluronic acid fillers are commonly used for non-surgical lip augmentation treatment to create fuller, plump and more defined lips with more volume.

Collagen is also used as lip filler. It is a major element of skin which tightens and firms it. For the purpose of lip enhancement, a purified form of collagen is used that is extracted from cattle. However, the use of collagen fillers has become limited and largely replaced by hyaluronic acid fillers.

It is a common perception of people that lip enhancement looks fake or artificial but this is not always the case, if it is done gradually it enhances the natural shape of the lips.

It is very important for the individual to discuss the details and lip area which requires enhancement, to achieve the desired effect. This should be done with a mutual agreement of the clinician and the client. For some people its fuller set of lips with lots of volume and definition while for others it may be only a slight enhancement of the natural lip definition.

The temporary lip enhancement using hyaluronic acid fillers last for about 6-12 months on average. After this period, the product gradually degrades and wears off. In order to maintain the fuller appearance of lips, the client needs to have repeat fillers treatment. however, if someone does not want to have repeat lip filler enhancement treatment, they can choose to stop it without any complications and the lips would return back to their original natural appearance as they were prior to lip filler procedure.

Although lip fillers enhancement is an aesthetic procedure, it still falls into the category of medical procedures. There are some common reactions that occurs following lip injections including redness, swelling and at times bruising. The injected area may also become sore and tender after the treatment. These are temporary and mild reactions and usually, resolve in few days after you have the non-surgical lip enhancement treatment.

In rare cases, there can be allergic reactions and a risk of infection so the treatment should always be done on clean environment using sterilised equipment. Choose the treatment from a clinician who has deep understanding of the facial anatomy to prevent any complications.
