Get a perfect nose with non-surgical nose job

Recently, Porsha Williams, a star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, has altered her nose shape without the surgery thanks to the non-surgical nose job treatment. This has created considerable hype among the public regarding the non-surgical nose job also called mini or non-surgical rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty has always remained high in demand among the cosmetic procedures. The treatment uses a series of dermal filler injections for improving the appearance of the nose. The goal of the treatment is not to create a perfect nose but to make it symmetrical and suitable for the patient's face. The non-surgical nose job basically creates a balance between the proportions of the nose, chin and neck. It is an ideal option for the people who do not want to go through the long recovery periods, risks and complications involved in surgical nose job.

Candidates suitable for non-surgical nose job
Non-surgical nose job treatment can easily treat the bumps, humps, nasal bridge and other minor imperfections in the size and shape of the nose. However, it cannot reduce the overall size and shape of the nose. A suitable candidate for the procedure is one having one or more of the following nose conditions:

•    A small nose which could better suit the shape of the face with little building up
•    Hooked nose that could look better with straightening
•    Nose having bumps and humps
•    A flat nasal bridge which needs height or better definition
•    Refinement of nose shape following the surgical rhinoplasty
•    Nose having irregularities in shape
•    Rounded nose tipped nose which could be enhanced with little nose reshaping

The non-surgical nose job does not require general anaesthesia. Generally, a local topical anaesthetic cream is applied on and around the nasal area to numb it for about 15-30 minutes before performing the treatment. This ensures that the patient feels minimum discomfort or pain. The patient can observe the treatment during the procedure and can oversee the modifications.

A cosmetic practitioner first marks the spots which require corrections and then the small amount of dermal filler is injected at those precise locations. This creates the desired contours enhancing the overall appearance of the nose. The filler injections give quick and effective results unlike the surgical rhinoplasty and there is no downtime associated with the procedure. The patients can resume their work after receiving dermal filler injections. It is also known as the 'lunch time nose job' because it only requires 15-20 minutes to complete with no healing time and the patient can immediately resume their routine activities or office work.

The traditional surgical rhinoplasty gives permanent results but there are lots of risks and complications involved. It can also result in over or under nose corrections with a possibility of poor aesthetic results. Whereas the non-surgical nose job gives temporary results and the practitioner can exercise complete control over the reshaping of the nose. This gives immediate results that last for about 6-8 months depending on the type of dermal filler used for the procedure. It is also possible to make adjustments in the nose shape later on with the changes in facial profile.
